When to start using Retinol?!

You know, most people think that you don’t need to use anti-aging products until you start feeling like you’re aging. But, that could be too late.

It’s much easier to slow down the effects of aging than it is to reverse them, which is why most dermatologists & aestheticians recommend that you begin incorporating it into your skincare routine in your mid-twenties to early thirties. But. let’s be real, if you’re already ticking the 35+ box - it’s not too late to start either!

First, let’s go back to basics. What is retinol? Well, it’s a derivative of Vitamin A which helps boost collagen production, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and help to reduce hyperpigmentation (aka dark spots).

When you first decide to incorporate this powerhouse product into your routine, ease yourself in slowly. You may think that the stronger the formulation the better, but it can actually cause more problems than it heals. Another great way to start is by using it in a formulation with a blend of antioxidants & ceramides to make it gentler on your skin.

It’s not just for your face.
Oftentimes your neck & décolletage are overlooked, so when doing your skincare routine don’t forget to smooth some Retinol over those areas as well. And, in case we haven’t said it enough, your hands are the most forgotten when it comes to showing your age. We might not be able to help you incorporate retinol into your face routine, but we definitely have the product for your hands. Daily Dual Repair has retinol as an ingredient in both the serum and moisturizer. But, having it mixed with antioxidants, hyaluronic acid peptides makes it gentle enough to use daily and easy to incorporate into your routine!

So, let’s be honest, it’s really never too late to add in new skin or hand care products or ingredients. Why not give a retinol product a try, get started with Daily Dual Repair to start preventing (or reversing) signs of aging!*
